Information on accessibility measures at the Zero Project Conference 2025

INFORMATION
Volunteers
Zero Project Team members and volunteers are available to offer additional support to individual participants.
Session information
The accessibility features available in each conference session will be marked on the agenda. Scroll down on this page to learn more about the features.
Large print
Large print versions of the conference agenda and venue maps will be available at the registration desk.
Braille descriptions
Table numbers and plans in the networking areas will have Braille descriptions to support navigation.
Induction loop
Portable induction loops will be available from the registration desk. You will need to provide an ID to receive one of the headsets.
The "Ontenna” devices are hairclip sized devices that convert 60 to 90 dB sounds into 256 levels of vibration and light, in order to convey the characteristics of sound.
Navigation
Tactile flooring
Tactile flooring is placed throughout the conference building to aid navigation to key areas.
Floor plans
Large print signs and floor plans are placed throughout the venue to support navigation.
Print material
Small printed floor plans and agenda overviews will be available at the reception desk.
Audio description of the venue
An audio description of the venue will be published prior to the conference to support navigation.
Sessions
English captions
All sessions will have live captioning in English.
International Sign
International Sign interpretation will be available in most sessions. ÖGS (Austrian sign language) will be available for those sessions that are specific to Austria.
Live easy language intepretation
Easy language live interpretation in English will be available via headsets for several sessions.
Graphic facilitation
Graphic facilitation will be available in several sessions to provide visual summaries of presentations.
Accessible livestream
There will be an accessible livestream of the Opening and Award Ceremonies, and the Fireside Chats, with live captioning in English and International Sign interpretation.
Presentations for download
Accessible PowerPoint files will be uploaded to the conference platform for all relevant sessions shortly before the conference begins.

Accessible format
Instructions on creating an accessible presentations are sent to all presenters and dedicated Zero Project team members review presentations.
Audio description
Audio description will be available for select videos submitted to the Zero Project Team ahead of the Conference.
English captions
Presenters are requested to include captioning in English for all videos shown during presentations.
Quiet room
A Quiet Room will be available in proximity to the conference rooms.
