In 2001, our lives changed forever. My wife and I were a young family, making plans for the future, when an accident happened that seemed to destroy everything… or, as I now understand, opened a new path.

Nataliya broke her neck and was left paralyzed. A year and a half in hospitals and sanatoriums became a true test for both of us. We saw firsthand how difficult life is for people with disabilities in Ukraine—how much pain, loneliness, and hopelessness surrounds them. But even in the darkest moments, we realized that God never abandons us.

At first, it felt like this tragedy would ruin our lives. But instead, it became the beginning of something greater. We started by simply supporting others like Halya through meetings and fellowship. Then, we began organizing camps for people with disabilities and families raising children with special needs. Later, we opened a rehabilitation office.

In 2016, we founded Agape Ukraine, and on its foundation, the Agape Rehabilitation Complex was established, providing physical, social, and spiritual rehabilitation for people with disabilities.

God has blessed us with an incredible family—our two wonderful sons, Lyubomyr and Rafael, our daughter Anzhelika, and our grandson Emmanuel. But even more, He has given us a calling—to be part of His work, to bring light to those who feel hopeless, and to remind them that even in the hardest circumstances, there is always hope.
