About me
He is the Vice President of the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD), Director of International Relations of the ONCE Social Group, Executive Vice President of the ONCE Foundation for Latin America (FOAL), as well as a member of the board of the European Disability Forum (EDF) and of the board of SpainNAB.
He has a degree in Political Science and Administration and a Master's degree from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium) and Sciences Po Paris (France) in European studies. He has previously been director and deputy director of the European Disability Forum, the association that represents more than 80 million people in Europe with its headquarters in Brussels (Belgium). He was also director of Projects for the Empowerment of Organizations of People with Disabilities in 20 countries of the European Union, EU candidate countries and Arab countries of the Mediterranean basin. In the same organisation he developed activities as an expert in social policies, employment, health and structural funds.
Before becoming professionally involved in the movement of people with disabilities, he worked in different professional areas such as project officer in the London Borough of Lewisham (London), where he worked on different projects, highlighting those related to Latin America. Previously, he carried out activities as a researcher for the Jean Monnet Center at the Complutense University of Madrid, as well as an officer for European transnational cooperation programs for the ONCE Foundation, including the period of the Spanish Presidency of the EU. His professional experience also includes a stay in the office of the spokesperson for the President of the European Parliament.
