About me
Emile Cadet VUNINGABO is a Rwandan, married with 1 wife and 1 Child. He is an accomplished Strategic Leader with strong experience of over 8 years in youth organizational management and development. His main experience is around project planning and management with emphasize on fundraising, organizational capacity assessment and development, capacity building for advancing the rights of persons with disabilities in Rwanda.
Over the last 6 years as Project Manager and 4 years as Program Coordinator and 2 Years as Head of Programs at National Union of Disability Organizations in Rwanda (NUDOR)
With a strong background in project coordination, strategic planning, Emile has successfully led initiatives such as the NUDOR VSLGs project, which aim to empower persons including youth with disabilities through economic and social inclusion. His expertise in inclusive employment, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and advocacy has been instrumental in creating impactful, sustainable solutions for underserved populations.
Committed to fostering collaborative approaches, Emile works closely with government agencies, civil society organizations, and international partners to drive systemic change and improve access to essential services, such as education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. His passion for inclusive policies is reflected in their contributions to legal and policy reform efforts, particularly in areas related to disability rights and gender equality.
Emile Cadet VUNINGABO holds a Master’s Degree of Science in Project Planning and Management from Jomo Kenyatta University (Kenya) with a couple of trainings which made him a human rights activist and policies influencer.
Emile Cadet VUNINGABO has been one of the team that initiated the NUDOR strategic documents such as the strategic plan for five years, the internal policies that guide the daily operations.
Emile Cadet VUNINGABO has couple of experience working in disability Rights promotion and Inclusion in different policies, strategies including disability Inclusive programming for different NGOs working in Rwanda. He started the Inclusive Saving Groups program that aimed to increase income and economic resilience for 48,500 Persons with disabilities in Rwanda. He has played a big role in monitoring the implementation of UNCRPD Concluding Observation from UNCRPD Committee and Government Commitments from Global Disability Summit 2018 and 2022 with a linkage between SDGs and other global agenda.
