About me
Helle Deertz has studied educational sciences and Spanish and French language and literature. During and after her studies she was working as a freelancer in journalism and in conduction and moderation of workshops. She is working for GIZ since 2015 in the field of inclusion of persons with disabilities. She worked in a GIZ research project towards inclusive education in Malawi and Guatemala and she worked as an advisor on the intersection of inclusion and different sectors like cooperation with the civil society, accessibility and governance aspects in the GIZ Global Project Inclusion of persons with disabilities. In August 2022 she began working as an inclusion advisor for the GIZ-Yemen-Project Improving access to basic social services for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and the local population in Yemen, tackling the topic of inclusion of persons with disabilities in the WASH, health and social service sector.
