VEM CA - An accessibility and inclusion self-diagnosis for companies and inclusive worksand inclusive works

In this fireside chat, Escola de Gente will bring its VEM CA app back to the Zero Project spotlight. Almost since its inception in 2019, the app has been a constant presence in the Zero Project Conferences, participating in some way in almost every year. Some of the main highlights of VEM CA’s history in Zero Project are its participation in the “Cutting-edge technologies” documentary in 2021 and its victory of the Zero Project Award in 2022.

This time, the main focus of the talk will be on a new and innovative functionality that allows companies and organizations to self-diagnose their attitudinal, communicational and physical accessibility level, alongside their inclusion level. Escola de Gente will present the functionality, and explain in detail how it works. At first, it will only be available for bigger companies and organizations that employ a minimum of 100 people, but we plan on eventually expanding its scope. The self-diagnosis is done by answering a series of quick questions, which will, at the end, produce a report signaling the areas that must be addressed, as well as the strengths of the organization in regards to inclusion and accessibility. This functionality is meant for corporations and organizations that want to improve in these areas, and will definitely help set them on the right path!
