Bridging Learning Gaps with Inclusive AI
This Fireside Chat will explore the powerful intersection of AI and inclusive education, focusing on how emerging technologies can bridge gaps and create more accessible learning environments for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Salyne El Samarany, Vice President for Special Olympics Global Center for Inclusion in Education, will discuss the challenges and opportunities posed by AI, the importance of teacher training, and the impact of the Unified Champion Schools model in promoting inclusion globally.
Through real-life examples, Salyne will highlight the potential of inclusive education to empower every learner. She will also discuss how Special Olympics is building public-private partnerships and partnering with technology companies to ensure AI tools are developed inclusively and the urgent need for coordinated efforts and funding to further advance these goals. This conversation will inspire and ignite action toward a more inclusive future where all students, regardless of ability, have the chance to thrive.
