About me

In 2018, Ms. Floriane Bacconnier established the INTERPOL Permanent Observer Office to the United Nations in Vienna, strengthening INTERPOL’s engagement in multilateral platforms as part of broader international efforts to build a cohesive and effective global security architecture

 In her role, Ms. Bacconnier ensures that international law enforcement perspectives are integrated into UN legal frameworks and policy discussions on international security, leveraging the UN’s diplomatic platform to strengthen Member States' engagement with INTERPOL and enhance their use of its global law enforcement resources.

 Prior to this position, Ms. Bacconnier worked as a Policy Analyst for the Secretary General and later as a Project Manager in the Strategic Planning Unit at the INTERPOL General Secretariat in Lyon, France.

 She began her career at Ernst & Young in Advisory Services, covering a wide portfolio of International Organizations and European agencies. She then joined the French Diplomatic Network, serving in New Zealand and Togo, where she focused on trade and economic development.
