Dave Carthy

I trained as a Telecommunication Engineer in Ireland in the late 1970’s. I changed career in the early 80’s and entered the Electronic Security Industry. In 1990 I attained membership of the Security Institute of Ireland, by examination. I remain an active member to this day.

In 1986 Dave founded Sound Security. It was while in this industry, circa 1992, that I realized that some Security products could assist persons with disabilities to achieve greater independence.

Since then I has have many Assistive Technology distribution agreements with major manufactures of AT devices worldwide.

As IDEAL TECHNOLOGY, I am hands on with the installation, recommendation and sourcing of AT products for persons with disabilities.

My primary focus now is the development of an my NON CLOUD based Voice Assistant, VOICEMATE.

I have prepared many Expert Witness reports on Assistive Technology for the courts, in Ireland and the UK. I will continue to assist the courts as and when required.
