My organisation

We, the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD), are dedicated to promoting and supporting the interests of service providers across Europe who work with individuals with disabilities. Our mission is to enhance the quality of services and advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities, ensuring their full inclusion in society. We foster cooperation among our members, share best practices, and influence policies at both the European and national levels.

About me

Mr Timothy Ghilain is the Deputy Secretary General for the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities, an NGO promoting high quality inclusive services for equal opportunities of persons with disabilities on behalf of over 20.000 social services. He is a graduate in Law and European Studies from the Université Catholique de Louvain. With ten years’ experience working at EU level in the social and disability field in a variety of positions, he has extensive experience with project development and implementation (Erasmus, ESF, foundations,…), formulating impactful policy strategies, as well as HR and managing a team. His specific expertise is on deinsitutionalisation, early childhood intervention, inclusive education, and employment. He has written and led projects, organised and provided training, been invited as an expert by the Council of Europe and the European Commission, and authored reports and studies on these topics. He has represented EASPD at the European Commission’s Working Group on Early Childhood Education and Care, and at the European Alliance for Investing in Children.
