About me

Alice Bruil is an undergraduate in the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington where she studies International Relations and French.

In 2023 she was selected as a Disability Inclusive Development Initiative Fellow of the International Policy Institute, a research and advocacy project which seeks to offer support to development practitioners of disability rights. She led the Uganda section of "Unseen and Unsafe: Barriers to Asylum for Refugees with Disabilities", a comparative legal analysis highlighting implementation gaps of the CRPD.

Her extensive work with refugee economic empowerment programs in the United States and migration studies in Greece, Switzerland, Morocco, and Senegal have enabled her to engage cross-culturally and inspired her to pursue a career in sustainable international development.
