About me

Katrin Langensiepen was elected to the European Parliament in 2019. As one of the few women with a visible disability in the Parliament and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs and the Disability Intergroup she fights for a social and inclusive Europe.

Her special focus lies on inclusion in employment.

Together with different NGOs she worked on a report on equal treatment in employment and occupation in light of the UNCRPD, that demands better inclusion of persons with disabilities in the first labour market and an end to exclusionary practices. The report was adopted by the European Parliament in March 2021. In the beginning of 2022 she was also the rapporteur for a file on the new Accessible EU Center.
