About me

Dr. Brigitte van Lierop is an expert in labour participation for people with disabilities, with extensive experience in research and practical interventions. She led a major EU study across 15 countries on disability employment strategies and managed a Dutch national program (2008–2012) to improve job opportunities for young people with disabilities. Since 2010, she has trained social service providers across Europe in employer-oriented approaches, developing widely used materials. She has advised national ministries in the Netherlands and Belgium on inclusive workplaces and job redesign. Her recent work focuses on supporting SMEs in becoming more inclusive. Dr. van Lierop is an independent researcher, consultant, and trainer for both public and private sectors.
