The International Labour Organization (ILO) is devoted to promoting social justice and internationally recognized human and labour rights, pursuing its founding mission that social justice is essential to universal and lasting peace. The only tripartite U.N. agency, since 1919 the ILO brings together governments, employers and workers of 187 Member States, to set labour standards, develop policies and devise programmes promoting decent work for all women and men.

Beatriz Bastião is a young professional in the field of international development, with a dedicated focus on social justice an disability rights. She currently works in the International Labour Organization towards advancing disability-inclusive work and employment policies. Her previous experience also includes the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights and Youth Civil Society organisations. Beatriz is a passionate self-advocate and educator on disability inclusion, having delivered multiple training sessions and awareness talks on disability inclusion.
