About me
Werner Rosenberger is the project manager of WACA - the Web Accessibility Certificate. WACA is the first quality seal in Austria to make web accessibility visible to the outside world, according to the WCAG-criteria. The communications and accessibility expert brought the certificate to market readiness and is responsible for further measures for accessibility. The father of two children previously worked for the brand and online agency gugler* in St. Pölten for several years.
Due to a bicycle accident 18 years ago, Rosenberger is dependent on a wheelchair. However, accompanied by a personal assistant, he can carry out a normal working day.
During his rehabilitation phase, he completed a master's degree in corporate communications at the Danube University Krems.
Social and voluntary commitment have always been important to the wheelchair user. Among other things, he was a co-founder of an association that demonstrated the performance of people with disabilities in order to improve the job prospects for these people. One of the projects was the “CEOs on Wheels” mentoring program.
