CCRW is a national not-for-profit organization that exists to promote and support meaningful and equitable employment of persons with disabilities. At CCRW, we offer job search assistance, employer supports, accommodation assessments, consulting services, and a variety of workshops. Additionally, we provide a range of services for employers, from consulting, to hiring and retention, and disability confidence training. About me

Paula MacDonald, a Salteaux-Cree Deaf woman, works in the federal government. Originally from Regina, Saskatchewan (Treaty 4), she was raised in Ottawa. Paula graduated in Indigenous and Canadian Studies from Carleton University (2023) and currently serves as the president of the National Capital Association of the Deaf (NCAD).

Paula is a dedicated advocate for Deaf and Indigenous communities across Canada, with a long-term goal of expanding and strengthening these communities in Ottawa, Ontario, and nationwide. She has volunteered in various roles, including with the Deaf Indigenous of Canada committee, the Canadian Association of the Deaf as National Youth Director, and Deaf Youth Canada. Paula remains committed to supporting, engaging with, and consulting the community.
