About me
Walter was diagnosed with visually impaired eyesight as a child, but the condition has never held him back. In 2014, Walter co-founded CareER, a charity that promotes disability inclusion in Hong Kong by advancing employment for tertiary-educated individuals with disabilities and special education needs (SEN). Under his leadership, CareER received the Zero Project Award - 'Innovative Practice for Employment from Civil Society' in 2021.
Walter has devoted himself to serving the Hong Kong community, and he currently serves on various advisory committees under the Hong Kong Government. He is also a guest lecturer at several local universities' MBA and Master of Social Work programmes on how to drive diversity, equality and inclusion in the business sector. In 2017, Walter was awarded Tatler Asia's 'Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow' in 2022. In 2024, he was awarded Medal of Honour by the Hong Kong Government in recognition of his remarkable contribution to promote disability inclusion in society.
