About me

Gidi Grinstein is the founder and president of TOM (Tikkun Olam Makers), which is an international humanitarian venture dedicated to creating and disseminating affordable and accessible solutions for vulnerable populations, including people with disabilities. To date, TOM has ~1,000 products in different phases of development and has operated in 35 countries. TOM originated in Israel, and is now led from the U.S., with innovation centers in Tel-Aviv and New York City.

Gidi is also the founder and president of the Reut Institute, which is one of Israel’s most cutting-edge strategic think-tanks.

Earlier in his career, Gidi served as the secretary of the Israeli delegation for the Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations. He has been involved in various diplomatic track II and backchannels ever since, including since 10/7, and in 2023 he co-authored (In)Sights: Peacemaking in the Oslo Process Thirty Years and Counting.

Gidi also authored Flexigidity: The Secret of Jewish Adaptability. He is marred to Betty and they have 5 children. Gidi enjoys long-distance running and completed 9 official marathons. He's now coming back from an injury, ahead of the NYC Half Marathon on 3/16.
