Kessler Foundation, a major nonprofit organization in the field of disability, is a global leader in rehabilitation research. Our scientists seek to improve cognition, mobility, and long-term outcomes, including employment, for adults and children with neurological and developmental disabilities of the brain and spinal cord including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and autism. About me

Elaine E. Katz, MS, CCC-SP is senior vice president of Grants at Kessler Foundation, overseeing Kessler Foundation’s grant making program. During her tenure, the Foundation has awarded more than $50 million for disability employment programs. Elaine works with organizations in board development, fundraising, marketing, and business development. She  currently serves on the boards of Support Center for Nonprofit Management, ReelAbilities International Advisory Board, and The Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies (NJHSA). Elaine is an appointed member of Essex/Newark Disability Issues Committee, program committee of the Council of NJ Grantmakers, Workforce Matters National Steering Committee. Elaine served as a member of the Human & Children Services Transition Advisory Committee for Governor-elect Phil Murphy. In addition, Elaine is the recipient of the 2023 Irene Parisi Humanitarian Award, and past recipient of the 2019 Humanitarian of the Year Award from Community Access Unlimited, 2016 Civilian of the Year Award from the GI Go Fund, and the 2015 Betty Pendler Award from Community Options, Inc.
