After graduating in Agriculture & Rural development, he started his career as a Gazetted Officer in Tamil Nadu State Government from 1979 to 1983

Joined Indian Overseas Bank, a Public Sector Bank as a Probationary Officer and served as Agricultural Field Officer, Chief Manager in various Branches in Tamil Nadu & Andhra Pradesh from 1983 to 2008

Joined the Management Team of Equitas as Head of Social Initiatives & Program Director in 2008 and conceptualized and set up the team for Social Initiatives with a clear focus to address a larger spectrum of requirements of small clients in the field of Health, Education, Skill Development, and Placement for unemployed Youth, Inclusive model for persons with disability & transgender

Equitas received the first National CSR award from the Ministry of Corp Affairs in 2019

Travelled to over 25 countries to speak about Equitas Model, prestigious being UNO, Vienna & John Hopkins University, USA
