A government-backed audit, certification, and support system for employers who create inclusive workplaces
About
In 2014 the Authority for People with Disabilities, in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, launched the Mowaamah programme, which recognizes companies that meet high accessibility and inclusivity standards by providing training and advocacy. The certification, based on external audits, ranges from ‘Participant’ to ‘Gold’. Between 2014 and 2023 some 3,000 companies have created more inclusive workplaces, and the Mowaamah app has 32,000 subscribers.
